First steps
While we are on our way, these steps help limit the damage. When you are safe, call us on 0439 963 066.
Turn off your main water supply first. It is usually near your water meter, outside or in a cupboard. Once the water is off, open the taps to drain what is left in the pipes and reduce further damage. Mop up what you can to protect floors and furniture, then call us.
Act straight away. Shut off the gas supply at the meter, open windows to ventilate, and do not touch any electrical switches or use open flames. Once you are safely outside or in fresh air, call us for emergency gas repairs.
This can mean a leak in the plumbing above, and it can cause serious damage if left. If you can, turn off the water to that area and call us. We will find the source, repair it, and advise on anything else that needs doing.
